    For anyone who’s made agar for microbiology lab Petri dishes, that’s what vegemite smells like. I haven’t tasted Petri dish agar so I can’t say if they taste the same too.

    My vegemite just got delivered. Wow that stuff is gnarly. I tried a little straight out of the jar just to see what it was like then some on buttered toast. A little goes a long way.

    To my Aussie friends, and to anyone else who may have recommendations: What is the most traditional and/or common way to eat vegemite? I just ordered some, but I've never had vegemite before, nor do I know anyone who's had vegemite. My most cultured friends are on this forum, lol.

    I agree with fireground. I also find the roll cake to be a little smoother/less rough edges. I typically will shred the roll cake into more a ribbon type preparation.

    1. Amazon 2. Heat sealed; impulse/mylar bag sealer 3. Food saver machines don't work well at all for mylar bags in my experience. I think because the mylar is a smooth material.
