    2024 Texas Pipe Show

Thank you for responding. Do you know if anyone from the Country Squire will be present, and if so do they typically bring tobacco and pipes to shows, or just pipes?

    Covid Taste & Smell Recovery

I posted a question about recovering from Covid induced sensory loss in another thread, that yielded a couple good suggestions, so I just thought I’d post my own thread and see what other advice it might yield. Anyone experience any successful Covid hacks that helped you regain your smell &...

    Post Covid Tasting Change

Well, this was a discouraging read. I was hoping to find some helpful hacks to getting my tastebuds back... When I first got Covid I lost my sense of smell and taste for about 3-4 months. My taste slowly came back over time, but I couldn't smell hardly anything for almost a year. Well, I...

    Cob Hazing.

Wow - I guess I’m fortunate. All 5 of my cobs were getting broke in while I was getting broke into smoking a pipe, so I didn’t even notice a difference 😂. I love my cobs - easily the best smokers for sure.

Didn't Worry About Packing and Guess What?

Yeah, there are oodles of codgers out there that simply dip their pipe into their pouch and smoke away and don’t even think about it. Experience is definitely the best teacher. I’ve found that I don’t think too much about it now. To me the main factor is how the tobacco is cut and processed...

I purchased some Marlin Flake, and I've really enjoyed that blend! Thank you for all the input gentlemen! I plan to order Peterson's De Luxe Navy Rolls & St. James Flake when I see those go on sale in the future. [For those who would be interested] I'm a spreadsheet guy, so I logged all your...

Didn't Worry About Packing and Guess What?

Yeah, I pretty much gave up on trying to follow packing methods a couple months ago, and I haven't really looked back since. There are so many variables to each smoke. No doubt there are wrong ways to pack a pipe, but in my opinion it seems packing gets too much credit for bad smoking experiences.

VaPer Lovers, Please List your Top Five

Since I got good feedback on my VaPer + Dark Kentucky post, I thought I’d ask pure VaPer lovers to list their favorite blends. I sort of liked the few VaPer blends I’ve smoked, but then today I tried Escudo for the first time and I really like it! That has me wondering what other great VaPers...

    Virginias

I've found Virginias can taste quite a bit different, especially when you factor in aged Virginias. I suggest you to try something like HH Pure Virginia or try to get your hands on some Virginia blend that has 2-5 years age on it. Most Virginias have a grassy hay-like taste mixed with a fresh...

    Breaking in a Cob.

The main issue with the cob is getting past the cob taste, which should only require about 5-6 smokes. At least that’s what I’ve experienced in the 5 cobs I’ve smoked.
