    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

Another tricky restoration - since I insist on having just one 9s/ xl90 pipe in my collection this de luxe from 1971 will be replacing my modern XL90 Army

    Showoff Your Dunhill Pipes Here!

I am going to try to translate this, using only the power of deduction... Here goes nothing... I present to you a Dunhill Shell from 1947, it smokes great and It has been destined exclusively for Semois tobaccos. Come live in Belgium. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Oh boy, here we go again.. thanks for not calling it unnatural at least. Most of the shine that you see comes from the lighting, other than that it is a very thin coat of carnauba wax. It's not really layering it and buffing it - just a very soft polishing wheel and about 40 seconds at around...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

This last pipe was such a struggle - i bought it from the most obnoxious person on ebay, who tried to scam me at least 6 different ways, then proceeded to open a case against his buyer... At the end of the day, he was just being delusional and I ended up getting the pipe for free. This being...

This has to be the most important underrated Peterson series - the system star. All of the stars that went through my hands were super pipes.

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

I managed to finish three more of the newly aquired Petes today and here is the first. Captain Pete 107 and this one is from the later randition made in the 90s. This is actually the second captain that find - the first being the rusticated version, but that one had to go to a friend... This one...

Peterson System Star (1977) Weird Stamp

Speculation Station - to me this looks a bit like the stamps used for the Sherlock Holmes series stem logos for example. Maybe someone got drunk and decided to test out the new stamp on this pipe😂😂

Peterson System Star (1977) Weird Stamp

Have anyone seen a stamp resembling anything like this one? It kinda looks like the the top of the "P" they use with hot foil on modern Petes

***What Are You Smoking, October 2025?***

Starting the day with a tremendous pipe tobacco combo Pre- republic system 314 (thanks @simong for the incredible pipe) and trying Three Nuns for the first time. The three nuns came to me as part of a big sample set from a friend and is from the 70s🤩

In the last week I got extra lucky on the Peterson front and there are quite a few interesting pipes joining the collection. These are the first two - a 314 and a 364.

    This Weekend's Restorations Batch

After smoking the pipe a couple of times and handling it, it will turn to a nice "satin" finish.

    This Weekend's Restorations Batch

It's not anything fancy - just a couple of cheap Amazon soft boxes.

    This Weekend's Restorations Batch

Unnatural? It's a thin coat of carnauba wax and good lighting...
