    Cats and Pipes

We have 2 cats and it's dismaying how often they throw up. Though, with our older 15 yo cat, who understands English quite well, we can tell her to knock off the retching to prevent the vomiting if we catch her when she's just starting as she will stop it

That definitely looks like a pub pipe. A house pipe is rounder. I have both.

    Another Stuck Stem Question

    I think so George.

    Another Stuck Stem Question

Tried the alcohol- soaked pipe cleaner, but no go. Guess I'll stick that sucker back in the freezer.:)

    Another Stuck Stem Question

Freezing over-night did the trick last time. Now having the same problem and not budging after 7 hours in the freezer so far. Going to give it the night and if that doesn't work will try isopropyl alcohol dribbled between shank and stem

    TAD Acquisitions 2025

I've always only used 2 blends at a time and 95% of the time it's C&D. Was on a OJK and Oriental Silk kick for the last 4 months but decided to tweak that by buying a half-pound each of bayou morning and OJK, giving the OS a rest.

Someone's Trying to Lure Me Back

So, I take it you have or will sell that 400+ pound cellar of yours?:)

Don't have the know-how to show my pipes here. But, just wanted to put in a plug for the Sherlock Holmes Stand. Recently picked up a rusticated Strand estate pipe from SP and love how its bowl is cavernous. Nearly as capacious as my couple of magnums. It will now take the place of my LeStrade in...

    Rescued a Bat

We lived in Missouri for 4 years and never saw a mosquito thanks to the purple martins and bats.

    Rescued a Bat

Looked online and discovered that there are 15 species of bats calling Kansas home. Couldn't ID him because he didn't entirely look like any of them. 3-4 inches long and black over the entirety of him.

    Rescued a Bat

So, I saw my first bat in the wild ever, but he was hanging upside down between the screen and the glass inside window of our enclosed back porch. I found something long and thin enough to slide between the windows to gently slide him down and out into a large aquarium net I had, quickly...

    What's For Dinner?

You were doing fine til you mentioned mayo. Instead of mayo, perhaps some Herdez guacamole salsa. It's great on burgers as is horseradish sauce.

    Convoluted Shipping Routes

SP always gets orders out quickly. However, lately USPS has trucked them all over without reason delaying arrival. My expected packager thus far has gotten to Kansas City, then on to Wichita and is now headed back to KC.🤨

Since I already have a squire and a Hudson, didn't occur to me but, now that you mention it, haven't seen either on SP for a while. Mine came from there.

    What's For Dinner?

You have a heck of an appetite. Thought Taco Bell food was OK but our 1 and only recently closed. If I get a hankerin' for Mexican food, though, our small town has a ton of Mexican places.

Where Is Your Favorite Place To Smoke A Pipe

My favorite place is the only place I smoke-in our den- where in comfort I smoke while reading, listening to music or watching TV. I actually smoke about 16 bowls per day and am also retired.

    What's For Dinner?

Am a fan of cold meatloaf sandwiches with cheese and horseradish sauce.

    How do You Brew Tea?

Long used a drip 4-cup Mr. Coffee dedicated to tea. Makes a fine cuppa.
