Came in today and whipped up a blend. As I don't have a scale, just eye-balled it and probably ended up with 7-8% dark fired. Had a notable dark fired presence. Actually reminded me of ODF with a heavy dose of perique added. So, in other words, a good blend.:)
So, I decided to give this experiment a try and ordered 8 oz of Bayou Morning and 2 oz of dark fired which I'll mix together thinking that the dark fired component shouldn't be higher than 20%. Also ordered 8 oz of Oriental Silk.
Am thinking of whipping up my own version of this by adding dark fired to Bayou Morning but don't know how much DF to add to a half pound of BM to approximate it. What do you think? thanks.
Too small for me. Though I have a Pete in the "beaver made it" finish, am not that keen on it. Their red over black stains are fine but the all black stain numbers don't do it for me. Do think that in recent years the black stain has looked to caked on.
Have never liked bananas. As children, though, my brother would put them on peanut butter sandwiches. But, what does he know as he used to put fried liver on his ice cream.
