Good for you. Around 16 years ago, I started having cardiac stents put in, (ultimately had a triple bypass). Simply by doing that I dropped around 50 pounds. Past year, though, gained around 10 pounds back. Think that's due to late night snacking.
Have had a close cropped beard continuously for 53 years. Now that I'm retired I only shave 2-3 times a week and use cheap disposable razors for sensitive skin because I have sensitive skin.:) shaving is simply an occasional necessity for me not anything I luxuriate in.
Certainly agree with switching to the pebble finish. Not that I'm in the market for a pipe as I've more than enough. Didn't I tell myself that a few pipe purchases ago?
Have a Hudson and thought the bend so non-existent that it seems like a straight pipe to me. I have 7 bulldogs and 4 Rhodesians, but almost never smoke 1 of the dogs as the chamber is too small. Chamber of my squat Pete donegal is also too small but like the squat shape so smoke it occasionally...
Yup, much too rich for my blood. Years ago when FVF was set at a reasonable price, I smoked it regularly. That and Best Brown were the only blends of theirs's I smoked. But, don't miss them.
As he mentioned liking spigots, I'd recommend a B42 system spigot. I have a rusticated one and the darker stain is a good complement to all the silver of the spigot. It's my second favorite pipe.
I was having a hankering for dark fired and I almost always smoke a blend with perique in it. So, it seemed a natural to try to tweak Bayou Morning by adding some DF to it and that worked well.
