New Peterson Pub Pipes Look Awesome

I only have a coupla Dublins, one of which is an old, straight blasted Hilson with similar dimensions but with a square shank.

    What's For Dinner?

Everything you noted I dislike-sauerkraut, rye bread, thousand island dressing and dill.

New Peterson Pub Pipes Look Awesome

Interesting. But, when I think pub pipe, it will always be a Hungarian to me. Otherwise it would be sacrilege.

    Merchant Service 1935

Thanks. Sounds good especially if it has a large bowl as I only like to buy large bowls.

    Merchant Service 1935

Am considering this. For those that own this pipe, how happy with it are you?

***What Are You Smoking, October 2025?***

Nice pipe and, yes, Tim is a very generous fellow.

    Recommendations for Peterson Pipe (Larger):

Have all of those. While I like my Rathbone, ain't no way its chamber is bigger than the house or pub pipe.

    C&D Harshness "Solved"

Interesting. I've long smoked C&D almost exclusively, (and not the blends with cavendish in them), and have never had an issue with harshness.

    Cost odd fellows

Yep, was recently perusing cigars and could not believe how much they cost now. A couple decades ago, I'd smoke a cigar 1-2x week but would buy alternatives from JR Cigar. Good thing I only want to smoke a cigar once or twice a year because I wouldn't pay that price now. Still working on about...

    Recommendations for Peterson Pipe (Larger):

Oh heavens, just get a bent house pipe or a pub pipe.

    Another Wine Dinner

When I first got into wines, I tried red burgundies and the ones I tried did taste like crap. So, that phase didn't last long. On the other hand, I bought cheap burgundies, though guess the adage that you get what you pay for doesn't apply here.:)

    Another Wine Dinner

I drink a rather hefty glass of red wine 6 nights out of 7 and on the 7th it's either scotch or vodka. Am a fan of cabernets. Do like a number of the other spirits on your list but not enough to buy a bottle for home use. Haven't touched sherry in decades.

What's with all these pipe tobacco brands being discontinued?

Budget and age would make that an imprudent move for me.;)

    Another Wine Dinner

Am a wine fan, though only reds. Not all that fond of white wines.

Pipes & Cigars (the PA outfit) is Stalker Creepy...

Mine does too. But, I like looking through it first. I'm an older guy who's old school- I like handling catalogues. Admittedly, though, now that we're edging closer to Christmas, am already getting a little tired of all the catalogues we're starting to receive.

    Vapers? Hmm.. Yes!

    Definitely try OJK original.

    Vapers? Hmm.. Yes!

Do like my Bayou Morning. But, find I like Old Joe Krantz just a tad more. Tend to alternate buying them. Don't seem to buy a blend that doesn't have perique in it.

    What's For Dinner?

Interesting concept. But, like with chicken, you want to ensure pork is cooked thoroughly from a safety perspective, which means no pink.:)

    Women Enjoy Pipes, Too

That picture drives home my impression that a good % of pipe smokers are "old guys" with beards. i've had mine for 53 years.

    C & D Engine #382: The Deertongue Rides Again

    Don't like DT myself.
