    Sillem's Commodore Flake

The first few times I had it I loved it and stocked up pretty deep on it. Then a couple of times it gave me wicked nicotine sickness. It absolutely may have been a coincidence -- empty stomach or something. I haven't gone back to it but should. Maybe half bowls for a while.

    Visited Peretti’s Today

I get there a couple of times a year. I find the staff to be super helpful and polite and the selection is overwhelming to me.

    Briarworks/Moonshine Pokers

I had one for a couple of years (Moonshine) with the copper band. It was a great looking pipe. I found it very heavy to clench, if that's your thing, but otherwise it was a great pipe.

Just Released Today @ The Country Squire - Whale Song

Just Released Today @ The Country Squire - Whale Song

You're probably right. 2oz was my assumption but maybe 4.5oz includes the box ;) I just bought one unit so that I don't kick myself. Trying not to spend too much these days.

Just Released Today @ The Country Squire - Whale Song

Under additional information, it says the weight is 4.5oz. That seemed like a lot of tobacco for $15 these days, but maybe because it's packaged more like bulk than tinned that's correct.

    Ken Byron Blends Great Virginias

I was buying a lot of his blends when I was buying a lot of blends. Most everything has been good. I really like Verge Engine Overdrive, Mountains of Madness, and a few others. I was in love with Artifact Blend but never was able to buy enough to hold me over for very long. I feel like lately...

    Opinions on Kiribi lighters

Never had a problem with mine. I also have an Old Boy and use a Dissim quite often. All three have been excellent.

How Many Tobaccos in Active Rotation?

I have a lot of tobacco in jars from the first few years I smoked and was trying a lot of blends. For the past few years I haven't opened up anything without finishing a jar first, and I've been leaving 6 jars on my table and trying to focus on a few blends at a time.

    Dissim Feedback?

Mine worked well for about 6 months. In addition to pipes, I enjoyed it for lighting the firepit as the Dissim on full flame is like a blowtorch. After 6 months I was getting spotty ignition. Dissim sent me two videos to troubleshoot which helped slightly. When I reached out to them again they...

    Eltang basic WITHOUT mouthpiece

Interesting take. Watching the websites, it certainly seems like all three lines seem to sell quickly. It doesn't appear to have hurt the sales of Bay or Rasmussen either.

    Eltang basic WITHOUT mouthpiece

I have a couple of Basics. I just got another. Only you can decide if they are priced appropriately for you, but I think they are fantastic. My pipes are all users and have ranged from MM cobs (love them) up through some fairly big name Danish guys (love them too) and a bunch of production and...

    Stem Tape?

I went to a couple of hardware stores recently to buy shrink tubing for a few of my "yardwork, fishing, dog hiking" pipes. Every package said the tubing was toxic. I realize that smoking is smoking...but the warning labels put me off using shrink tubing.

An Eltang By Any Other Name

Sean Reum has done homages to Eltang's poker. His should be in your general price range.
