The Comfort They Can't Take Away

Its in nearly every gas station I go to in Los Angeles of all places, so someone's chewing it. It's just "Americas Best" now. I used to buy it all the time but I found a smoke shop that has Stokkers which is my preferred chew and dip.

XXV Reserve: A Celebration of 25 Years of Smokingpipes

Got some Dawn because I'm losing my taste for Perique. Missed out on the last one so I'm looking forward to trying this.

    Flavor Intensifying Throughout the Bowl?

That's interesting; I mainly smoke classic British shapes and I usually reserve the Dublins and stacks for Virginia Flakes.

    Flavor Intensifying Throughout the Bowl?

The second half is always the best part of the bowl for me; especially with Virginia Flakes. I've heard that the hot smoke kind of caramelizes/stoves the leaf below the ember, but that could be a load of crap. I do notice I get a flavor bomb of bready sweetness though towards the end of the bowl.

My Mixture 965 new and old

As a Dunhill fanboy and big fan of 965 I think the Dunhill version was better, because I like the Dunhill brand better than Peterson and the Dunhill script looked cooler than the Peterson. The tobacco itself isn't different at all if you're referring to the STG product. According to GL Pease...

Interesting Completed Ebay Auctions - British Pipes

I've had my eye on a couple and I've seen them listed for $200-$250 which seemed pretty high for more as I've bought and sold dunhills at that price. Maybe the markets changing.

Aromatics are Not for the Pipe-Smoker

My favorite aromatic is Pennsylvania Dutch Treat by Boswell's. Rum and Maple, Piper's Pleasure, Eileen's Dream, Peretti's Original Mixture, DD, and No Name are high up on the list as well. That's not even counting aromatic Englishes like Countryside, And so to Bed, Pembroke, Epiphany, PP Burbon...

    Vanity or Insanity... or BOTH?

I think it's pretty cool honestly

    What’s Your Favorite Esoterica/Germain’s Blend?

I'd like to retract my previous statement on this thread. I popped a jar of Scarborough from a few years ago and its incredible. Either age has done wonders or my palate is much more refined than it was 3 years ago. Now I'm on the hunt for more of this stuff.

To All LA Residents (Los Angeles, not Louisiana)

It might be a tough weekend for me but I'll definitely try to swing by! Healing Force is one of my favorite record shops up here.

Enjoying Virginias; Where Do I Go From Here?

This is a great time of year to dive into Virginia blends. I'd highly recommend Peterson Flake and if you would like to venture into Virginia/Periques I'd also suggest Peterson Navy Rolls. These two are a little more expensive than other tins, but they are absolute classics and should be a stop...

    Coumarin in Pipe Tobacco

Idk, if I worked for the FDA I'd be afraid of Steve.

    Coumarin in Pipe Tobacco

Thank you everyone for your responses and for easing my mind. I'm going to keep smoking this blend all day, order a couple more pounds, and if the liver goes it's just the beer to blame. Cheers!
