    Show Us Your Savinelli Pipes!

Which model is that 320 with the reddish stem? Looks nice. I do like the 320’s. I’d like a whisky but they seem priced a lot higher. Dunno why. Great pics!!🤓

Which Codger Blend to Stock up on in 2025?

I’d be way sad if they monkey with captain black dark.

    Favorite Borderline Aromatics?

Being somewhat new to pipes, and preferring a mild smoke, and not worrying about room note or whatever (dogs don’t seem to notice), I find it a bit confusing doing tobacco searches. There are soooo many blends. Pages of choices. I may be reading the room wrong, but I get the impression that...

Replacement for Sutliff: B20 - Black Cavendish

I thought the super value bc tasted like the stuff they sweep up off the floor at the end of the shift. It was very dry and tasted and smelled like burning tree leaves. Tossed it out after 3 or 4 bowls in different pipes. But that’s just me. YMMV.

    SmokingPipes Site Redesign

I myself do not care for it. It seems to me that it’s harder to browse thru pipes and/or tobaccos with the redesign as compared to the old one. I do not think it’s an upgrade.

    Black Cavendish

Lane BCA and Capt. Black Dark is all I smoke. Tried a few others but I just stick with these two. Don’t like buying other stuff to try and ending up tossing.

Just arrived today from a nice seller on Etsy. Ran a bowl of Capt. Black thru it. Smokes quite nice.😎

I’ve kinda gotten hooked on this series……

Replacement for Sutliff: B20 - Black Cavendish

As mentioned, BCA, plus Capt. Black Dark. And I bought a couple oz. of Irish Blessing just to try. It’s not too bad. I prefer mild, kind of a weenie with my tobacco preferences. Lol.

    The Aroma of the Shop

About all I see when I go into Omaha or Lincoln, especially Lincoln, is Vape and CBD shops. Along with dispensaries.

How do you rationalize selling an item for less than what you paid?

I figure if a particular item is just gathering dust and I foresee me never using it again, or it’s not what I expected when I bought it, I’ll move it along to at least recoup some of my investment. Except with firearms. I’ve only sold a small handful of firearms over my adult life, and it...

    Storing Tobacco In Zip Locks

Does it work to cellar bulk pipe tobacco in mason jars? How long will it keep? Another question is on tinned tobacco? Will that essentially keep for years? My tobacco buys are usually bulk and I’ve not really started storing any for long term in preparation in the event of shortages or whatever.

    Pipe Shape Preferences Over Time

Slightly bent bulldogs and rhodesians. Rustic or sandblasted. My favorite styles. Bigger the bowl circumference the better. It’s what suits my style of smoking best. Being a pipe holder in my left hand as I sit and ponder life’s mysteries. And relaxing in my lawn chair while watching the wife...

General Help With a Specific Pipe

This is very similar to what I experienced just a couple month ago when I began pipe smoking. I bought a lot of different tobacco 1oz samples to try out and I’m kinda embarrassed to say that I now have about 15 pipes. I started with a non filtered pipe and smoking different blends, trying to go...

    Filter or Non-filter Pipes? Confused.

Thanks guys for clearing that up for me. I’ll have to try a filter and see how it compares to one without the filter.

    Filter or Non-filter Pipes? Confused.

So why do some listings then list the pipe (even not filater) as either a 6 or 9mm. Just so you know the size of the hole? I get that’ll affect the draw. And then it’s safe to assume if the pipe listing doesn’t mention it’s filtered, it won’t be then.
