Only thing I can think of is if there's any nice "world Hunger" forums around to enjoy for those tired of reading a lot of nagging about lost tobaccos or evil tobacco companies and such trivial crap.
Yes, Kopp took over some of the DTM blends that was thrown on the history heap. Old Fredders is one I'm especially fond of.
Otherwise; Flanagan, Haymaker, Director's Cut, Tuarekh, Zulu, Fayyum Kake, Louisiana Broken.
Mighty stuff.
Yes. Being Swedish I've been completely surrounded by snus my entire life. Friends started out at 10 and such. This was before the pouches came into being as well. It was just a black mess squeezed into a ball and put under the upper lip. My first attempt was at 11 and it became a dizzying...
Yes, he did. But at the same time the Mac Baren family wanted to sell the company because they were panicking due to loss of revenue after some shitty corporate turns. Ok, they could’ve turned the boat around again, but they chickened out.
STG was there to snatch it up, and in turn capitalise...
To be fair, this (profitability assessment) can happen to all blends by whatever manufacturer, right?
Otherwise they'll be losing money and risk going down as well.
Even though we hope blenders is doing stuff just to please us pipe smokers, I think that without profitability we will lose all...
Stokkebye LNF, since it is - according to Leonard W - the same blend. Both made by STG.
But some people swears that LNF has a pinch of perique… so waddo I know?
Keep it. If you don’t suddenly feel you want to smoke more often (which is one probability) you will most certainly have a good stash of sellable stuff in the future. And it the future - seeing how tides are turning these days - people will scramble for good or decent tobacco.
I was able to snatch a couple of pounds of Sutliff Virginia Slices and Match Victorian juuust before it all got sold out at the special vendor that can send stuff to me in EU. Other than that the only MacB/Sutliff blend I stock up on is still in future plans: Capstan.
But with that said, I feel...
I've had tobaccos that was bland, or boring, or flat or ashy or whatever. The only one I've felt tasted really bad was Haunted Bookshop.
I tried several bowls in different pipes, moist to dry af. Nop, it was supposed to taste like that. Like crap.
Not my thing apparently.
I think there is a big divide here between the folks that wanna have a candy type of note vs. a tobacco note here.
Do you want the 'stasche to smell like you've been shoving your face down a box of candy or if you like the smell of a cozy campfire?
I'm a campfire man myself, so I vouch for...
