Which Tobacco Leaves Your Favorite Mustache Note?

Hmmm.... I haven't paid enough attention to distinguish between different mustache notes left by different tobaccos... I don't ever smoke or bring a lit pipe into the bedroom, but I do love going to bed with a mustache note!

    My Churchwarden Pipe Rack

Interesting idea! What would you use as cover for the beanbag-like surface? My first thought was the stretchy material of palm rests for mouse and keyboards, but not sure how well that would age. And for filling I'm assuming you'd have to do something much smaller than actual beans so it better...

    My Churchwarden Pipe Rack

Nice rack! And nice stain, too! As a fellow Lesepfeife enthusiast, I also went the same route after looking at a rack online that was not able to be shipped to me. Similarly, I went with holes for the bases to accommodate some of those oddly shaped pipes...

Thanks for that! Loved learning about this term!

Ottawa Pipe Club - May 2024 Meeting

Ah darn! Saw this too late... Maybe next time I'll find out with enough time to arrange a trip for it.

    What "The Wife" Thinks

I live by myself and don't smoke indoors whenever there is anyone over. A couple of women I date are bothered by the smoke when it blows in their direction outdoors. And I don't smoke indoors when they are going to come over, Others actually like or really like the scent (one of them smokes...

My Tobacco Cellar and Pipe Cabinet

Sweet setup! Hoping one day I make it to something that big!

***What Are You Smoking, May 2023?***

Breaking in a brand-new Neerup pickaxe with some C&D Autumn Evening (on this warm spring evening) It's quite the little beast... Hefty chunk of briar almost 3 inches tall and 2 inches wide. The chamber is 7/8". The biggest pipe I have by quite a margin.

    What's For Dinner?

Roasted chicken atop pasta with pesto, zucchini and asparagus. Paired with a nice glass of a local nitro pale ale

Show Me Pipe Rack / Storage Options

I have upgraded my setup! I was looking to get something more appropriate to the collection I was gathering, and when I was unable to purchase a model I liked, a friend inspiringly asked, "Well, why don't you make it yourself?" This is the first "real" woodworking project that I've had in...

***What Are You Smoking, May 2023?***

Trying out McClelland's 40th Anniversary thanks to @DannoH. Also in a new Muxuang pipe! It's another lovely Hungarian that I swapped out the stem with one I customized for myself. Earlier I was at a nearby workshop, working on a new pipe rack that I'm building to hold the collection of pipes I...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2023?***

Is that you? Where was that? You're a complete match to that hobbit illustration! I gotta get myself to some mountains again to do the exact same thing. I haven't been in a while and definitely not since I started smoking. I actually had come across MacQueen pipes not that long ago, but they...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2023?***

Indeed! Very much so. I really enjoy the reach. The way I can rest on my elbow and hold the pipe and take puffs (sips) I find really comfortable. I also, for some reason, really do not like the way I look with short (regular) pipes at all. I do have a couple that I smoke when I need to clench...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2023?***

Breaking in a brand-new Muxiang I 'modded myself with some 1-Q! I took a stubby Oom Paul and swapped the stem for a churchwarden which I then bent so that holds the pipe rim level. Now I've got my first Churchwarden Hungarian.

***What Are You Smoking, April 2023?***

It's finally warm enough to be outside on a local park. I've tossed Captain Black and a pipe in my backpack to have on hand for occasions like this
