Gone . . .But Not Forgotten

The big advantage to purchasing from a local shop is the tactile aspect. You can hold the pipe and look at the grain and finish. You can smell (and if you have a good shop) and sample as well. Reviews are great, and give you a reasonable idea of what you are going to get into, but the actual...

    Select My Next English

Nightcap definitely. If you are wanting to feed your TAD monkey, try JJ Fox Banker's or Solani or if you want a big dose of latakia C&D's Davinci

Help Choose the Next Lane Bulk Blend

I'd have to say the Crown Achievement as well. The return of hazelnut has been a hit for me (love the aroma and Im not an aromatic smoker) and the Black Raspberry is a crowd pleaser.

Exclusive Breaking News: Cornell & Diehl to Merge with Laudisi

For my two cents worth, I have been a distribution customer of Laudisi since they acquired Savinelli USA. They have been easy to work with from the off, and I have nothing but good to say about the level of service and the availability of product. I am based in NC and C&D blends are popular...

Anyone Try Drew Estate Pipe Tobacco?

I believe the name was merely to indicate an English blend. Meat Pie is an English dish.

    Nording

I love my Nording Signature Black, I have one that is a bent poker shape. They are some of the most ergonomic pipes. The large sizes and shapes of the bowls are deceiving because you would think it is going to be a clunky, heavy pipe and in reality it just moulds to the hand. They are a...

    Rattray's Tobacco

I like the 3 Noggins. It has IMO a medium latakia hit and is a flavorful smoke. Nice little nicotine hit as well. I also like the Marlin Flake. It is a lighter smoke, but it has a sweetness to it. I also love the aroma opening the tin.

Anyone Try Drew Estate Pipe Tobacco?

I've tried them all and they are pretty subtle to me. The cut and humidity levels remind me of Stanwell Melange or vanilla. I believe these are blended in the EU. The Meat Pie is a nice English blend, not a latakia bomb, but just enough. There is an 8th blend that got held up (was going to...
