Looking for Burley-Forward Blends with Very Little Latakia.

I have a tin on the way, to try it. So far have re-established appreciation of latakia as a light compliment via Old Joe Krantz Red Label, which I think deserves more attention than it seems to get. That's probably because it's named after an already-established blend. Thanks for the tip!

Looking for Burley-Forward Blends with Very Little Latakia.

Update: Tried several suggestions here, I found that I enjoy a rare (once a day or two) burley forward blend with a _touch_ of latakia, but only if it's got some perique. For example, Morley's Best is obviously good, but even that level of latakia, absent some sort of spice, didn't ring a...

    Cellaring Salty Dogs

That is one thing I like about plugs (and ropes). I can carry a chunk of one with me in a pocket, no worries.

    Cellaring Salty Dogs

No selling ambitions -- personal cellar. I did remove them all from their little cellophanes and jarred them.

    Cellaring Salty Dogs

I believe you are right. I have decided to jar them all unwrapped in a small canning jar. You can get a lot of them into even those little short ones.

    Cellaring Salty Dogs

Thank you! I figured since it was in plastic, I was supposed to cut a couple holes in it and microwave!

    Cellaring Salty Dogs

You're right, it actually seems more like cellophane.

    Cellaring Salty Dogs

Thanks all! I'll ditch the pouches, and jar the plastic wrapped plugs then.

    Cellaring Salty Dogs

Has anyone cellared Dan Tobacco Salty Dogs? The plug is wrapped in plastic, which is placed in a sealed pouch. I have entire pouches in a large mason jar, but would like to remove them from the pouches (and even the plastic maybe), and store in a jar that way. Would it be best to just...

    Hi from Southeastern Michigan

C&D Sansepolcro, Samuel Gawith Brown #4 (if it's still available), and BriarWorks Country Lawyer are three I currently smoke that use cigar leaf. It's pretty forward (strong and spicy) in Sansepolcro and Brown #4. More of a condiment in Country Lawyer.
