***What Are You Smoking, Sept. 2020?

I gotta get my OJK out of the basement. I've been missing it.

    Gawith Hoggarth Black Pigtail Aniseed

I will, and yes I'd say every one of their ropes has a topping, as well as any one of their flakes. Then again I don't believe I've ever had any rope that wasn't steeped in something. I like their offerings, just takes some prep and drying usually.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

Peterson's Perfect Plug in a Chacom Army -- Korean barley tea on the side.

    Gawith Hoggarth Black Pigtail Aniseed

Well all they had was un-serious. I guess you could say they had only sense of humor tobacco ;). Also training? F**k that -- I did my 21 years.

    Gawith Hoggarth Black Pigtail Aniseed

Indeed, I decided to splurge on overseas shipping. I was actually looking for a plug whose name forget, and just ordered this instead. I'd never heard of it.

    Medium Term Pouch Tobacco Conserving

Short term is probably okay. I'm not sure after that. I keep some on-hand plug and rope tobacco in small mason jar, each in their own little plastic pouches, which I force the air out of. Yet, every time I open that jar, I get a strong whiff of the tobaccos, which tells me it's permeating...

    Gawith Hoggarth Black Pigtail Aniseed

Anyone ever had it? I just ordered some from (to me) overseas. It's actually categorized as a snuff/chew. Strong, black, skinny rope. I figured it was not too different from smoking Cotton Boll, which is also a rope categorized as a chew. Not sure about the aniseed part, but thought I'd...

Top OTC Any New Piper Would Like?

My favorite "drugstore blend" by far is Granger. Unfortunately, you can no longer buy it by the pouch (or find it in an actual drugstore). You have to buy a big (8 oz maybe?) can. Easy to find, but if you don't like it, you're stuck with that big can of tobacco.

Jack Knife Ready Rubbed in a new Country Gentleman cob with custom bit from Boswell Pipes.

First Time I Bought A Pound

I nearly got an entire pound of Briar Fox into a single large mason jar. It comes as a giant crumble cake, so I was able to cut into long blocks, with a few smaller blocks. What was left fit into to one of my daily smoke smoke small mason jars. Glad I liked it -- bought the whole pound...

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

Briar Fox in a new Country Gentleman with custom made bit by Boswell pipes that eliminates the excessive airy draw of a filtered Country Gentleman. Light IPA on the side.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

St Bruno's Ready Rubbed -- just got my first pouch. It's good for when I'm too lazy to work with a plug, but want that particular Lakeland quality. Bourbon on the side (doesn't match up well, btw).

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

I was disappointed when I first bought a pound of that stuff, but it's really grown on me over time. I like the simplicity of it. I'm always looking for something else along that line.

***What Are You Smoking, August 2020?***

Condor Plug in a Chacom Army -- some sort of red wine I stole from my wife on the side.
