    The (Pennsylvania) Tax Man Cometh

It will be a cash cow for the states but also it helps level the field for B&M stores vs. online sites. Remember tobacco will never be as cheap as right now....

Figuring out What Type of Tobacco I Really Like?

6 months to a year to learn the basics of pipe smoking well enough to truly taste what I was smoking. As to figuring out what I like to smoke, every new tin is a voyage of discovery, some great, some meh, and some not spoken of ever again.

Beginner's Tobacco Recommendation with Specific Requirements.

Wine notes make me think of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend. It is an semi-aromatic (wine) but still offers the taste of tobacco. Easy to pack, light, and smoke and not heavy in nicotine. Nice room note.

    Canceled Netflix This Morning

Not well known is that Susan Rice is also in charge of the Strategic McClelland Reserve and has been releasing some varieties through various front Ebay accounts at extremely high prices. Rumors are that she has a black ops force relabeling Campbell Soup tins with McClelland labels as well...

    Drexel VIII

It just didn't do it for me. It came extremely dry and I tried it dry and rehumidified. Dry was pretty flavorless and the moister attempts just were kind of blah. I'll jar it and come back to it in 6 months or so.

    RIP McCranie's Red Flake

2008 was the crop of red virginias they used for the flake. All my tins were tinned in 2012. I had held out hope that they had some of the 2011 crop they used for the Red Ribbon that had been used to make Flake but alas no.

    RIP McCranie's Red Flake

I had emailed McCranie's about if there was going to be more Red Flake and Red Ribbon available for sale. Unfortunately there is no more Red Flake; they did say there will be some more Red Ribbon arriving soon. Luckily when the McClelland's announcement came out I was able to order a bunch of...

    FDA Proposal to Reduce Nicotine

I really don't see how this will apply to most pipe tobacco. Cigarette tobacco is an abomination of chemicals, tobacco paper, ect.; they add nicotine to the mixture so can easily control the levels of it. They have been doing this since forever to increase the addictive properties of...

    FDA Proposal to Reduce Nicotine

Actually in the press release to MSNBC they state there will be a separate rule made for premium cigars. What that rule is wasn't released at this time.

    Golden Gate Pipes

I bought Orley's small GG pipe. It's a nice little pipe for a short smoke, well drilled and smokes well.

Who Is The Best Oriental Blender With McClelland Now Gone

I don't have a "go to" blender for orientals just certain blends I like such as John Cotton's Smyrna and PS English Oriental Supreme.

    McCrainie's

Ribbon is sold out but I picked up some more Red Flake; great service and I just use a postal money order to pay them.
