    ArmyMount Pipes And Their Origin

I really like army mounts and have a Peterson Army 69 myself. Recently I stumbled upon this very interesting set on Smokingpipes, that dates from 1898: https://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/estate/england/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=219414 Part of the set is an army mount pipe. So the myth that the...

Castello 55 vs 65 Black Searock And Where To Buy

As far as I understand, that was the case in the beginning (?), but it later changed from frading to size of the pipe. But I might be wrong too.

Castello 55 vs 65 Black Searock And Where To Buy

So I really got interested i Italian pipes, besides a Ser jacopo, I would also to buy a Castello pipe. I narrowed it down to 55 and 65 shapes, both in black searock. But I have a hard time to decide. I do like billiard shaped pipes, but the 55 is the most iconic Castello pipe. I also cant find...

    Why Own Small Pipes?

I am wondering if smaller pipe sizes were more popular in the past? The szandard bowl size seems to be +- group size 4. Was it always the case? I personally like smaller pipes. Considering focusing on size 3 pipes instead if 4.

Mastro de Paja vs. Ser Jacopo

I like the holy trinity classification! Does Ser Jacopo has an iconic pipe shape like Castello does with its 55? And maybe anyone knows what the pipe Philippe Dofour is holding? Its a Ser Jacopo (there is a J on the stem), but I cant find this pipe anywhere. I really like the band...

Need Help With First Charatan Purchase

Thats interesting! I also noticed that. Wondering why. I would love to get the medium biliard. On a side note, which of the modern english pipe makers would compare to Charatan in style and quality?

Need Help With First Charatan Purchase

Hello guys. After reading some history about vintage english pipe brands, I decided to look for a Charatan Pipe, preferably Rueben era. I would like to get a classic straight billiard. (Preferably size 3 or 4) On what sites would you advise to look for one? What would be an average price...

Mastro de Paja vs. Ser Jacopo

Thanks, I like the Leonardo, but the metal part on the top puts me off. Is therr a pipe similar in design to that, but without the metal on the top?

Mastro de Paja vs. Ser Jacopo

Thanks! Neoclassical and "fancy" is exactly what I am looking for in that case. (Although usually I prefer more plain, but elegant english pipes.) Could you give me examoles of specific models and series of Ser Jacopo? I looking for one with a decorated band.
