Many thanks for all the recommendations. I will check Michail , Chris Asteriou , Adam Davidson and Chris Askwith I didnt realized that not many pipe makers do silverwork nowaday. I do have a Peterson Army 69, but like I said the band/mount doesnt has the same antique form. . Well I could...

Good Artisans Who Could Make an Army Mount Pipe (Like Shown in the Picture)?

EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9) I really love the look of this Barling pipe . Nowadays pipes in such vintage style are not made. True, army mount pipes are made by Peterson, Rattrays, Stamwell, but they still differ in the design of the silver bands. So I thought maybe I...

Are Chacom Army Mount Pipes Discontinued?

I wanted to buy a Chacon Army 42, but to my surprise its not available anywhere. Its also not listed on the Chacom website. I am quiet surprised that they would discontinue their whole army mount line. :(

Have Difficulties Finding Group 2 Sized , Straight Billiard Pipes

Yes, its much easier to use this group sizes. That works for me, when I compare measurments of a pipe to the measurments of a Dunhill, that has same shape. Its never 1:1, but like you said it provides an approximate range. Iwan Ries uses this system in their shop as well.

Photos Of 19th Century Briar Pipes?

Interesting, the old silver bands look different from the modern ones. Almost round, like the army mount. Therefore I wasn't sure. Did most of the pipes back then have such silver bands? Looks like they were very common.

Have Difficulties Finding Group 2 Sized , Straight Billiard Pipes

Guys, many thanks for your suggestions. Seems that the French pipe makers have indeed small pipes. Found quiet a few from Chacom and will probably get one. They have the "Lizon" line, which are small , but longer pipes with a silver band and the "Plume line", which are small classic pipes...
