***What Are You Smoking, Sept. 2020?

thank you! I forgot I have some Redburn in the basement, and I've been meaning to pop something I haven't had in a while to add to my rotation :)

    Peterson Irish Flake First Bowl

Irish Flake is one of my staples. I've heard the newer version is a little different, but I'm still smoking old (10 years+) tins I put away years ago, so I can't say. I've had Stirling Flake, but I can't say I noticed any difference between it and the old Irish Flake. You could switch the...

Sail Yellow The Budweiser Of Blends

Briar Fox does for me what Sail Yellow does for you. I always have some handy, it's easy to pack and smoke, and I can enjoy it without giving it a thought.

    Corncob Conundrum

That's _exactly_ what I was going to post. I prefer my burleys in cobs, and absolutely can't stand English blends in them.

    How Far is Too Far?

That's a good point. When I smoke Briar Fox, I burn it to ash without even noticing I smoked it down so far.

    That Tub Is Huge.

I bought an old 1920's Granger tin to hold mine in. It was a bit rusty on the inside bottom, so put down some wax paper in it.

If she's attractive, stopping short is always worth a shot ;)

    English Never Grows Old

Me too. But years later, I've started drifting back into them. Only one or two per day though (I smoke about 6 bowls/day).

    How Far is Too Far?

Pretty much the same answer here: when I'm no longer enjoying it, or I'm relighting too much. In fact, I as often as not smoke my bowls in halves, sitting them aside and returning to them, sometimes as soon as 10 minutes later. But I still rarely have one burn all the way down.

    Your Autumnal Aromatics

    That's what I figured, thx!

    Your Autumnal Aromatics

Do you know if the Hearth and Home and the Scotty's Butternut Burley are one and the same?

Plug And Rope That Are Not Elusive?

My favorite, closely followed by PPP (amongst the easily obtainable plugs). It's a little pricy, so I've been slowly building up a stash of it over time.

Plug And Rope That Are Not Elusive?

That's true -- it's not a hard plug, yet not a crumble cake. Not sure what to call it. Pressed leaf block works.

Plug And Rope That Are Not Elusive?

I would love to get my hands on some of that.
