Purple Cow in an old cob I can't identify. I jammed a custom Boswell stem on the cob that clearly seemed to be the wrong size but I made it work. Might be the last bowl for that cob but the Cow is pretty good.- --dante--

Granger on Sale
I haven't had the Match Edgeworth. Ready Rubbed I think is slightly more 'flavored' I think, for lack of a better word, but necessarily sweeter. If puffed very slowly, I think Granger is a tad sweeter. I haven't had Ready Rubbed in a long time though, so just trying to go by memory.- --dante--

Cornell & Diehl Purple Cow Review

One Blend in One Pipe for One Week
Honestly I would probably go with a tub of Granger, especially if we're looking at desert island as a survival situation. "American" Style English Blend Recommendations?
I suggest Old Joe Krantz Red Label. Basically it's OJK with latakia and some cavendish. I think it definitely fits the description of an American blend. The lat is not too heavy handed, and between that and the added cavendish, it smoothes the perique a bit. Other than that, it's a...- --dante--

Best Way to Smoke Old Joe Krantz?
Not trying to be a wise guy here: the ease of burning through a bowl of OJK to me means just load a second bowl. I love easy burning blends, and that's just an example of a good "fire and forget" blend. No point in trying to outsmart a blend that smokes the way it does, IMHO.- --dante--

Picayune in a cob. Still have a few ounces jarred, and one tin and one of the larger tubs still unopened. After that's gone, Bayou Night is still the best replacement (for me) I've found.- --dante--
