***What Are You Smoking, August 2021?***

Lit up some PCCA Millennium 2000 in the ol' Castello Trademark 4K this evening. Cheers everyone.

Do You Smoke Outside Your Home/Yard?

I usually smoke outside or in the garage/workshop at home. I am allowed to smoke in the den but that has been revoked while my wife is pregnant. If I'm going to a bar/pub that has an outdoor area I almost always bring a pipe. Would love to smoke inside but that appears to be a thing of the...

    Charatan or Dunhill?

Sadly I only have a few of Barling's pipes. I always carry one with me in my travel bag though. Great little tasting pipe.

    Charatan or Dunhill?

I feel like most folks either prefer one or the other. Are you team Charatan or team Dunhill? Why? I have a decent collection of both, but I find myself reaching for Charatans more often. They seem to smoke cooler and fit in the hand a little better.

Clay pipe guy had me craving the old clay smoke. Escudo and coffee this morning.

Interesting Completed Ebay Auctions - British Pipes

I'm trying to finish my collection of Blue Ribands but they go for an arm and a leg. Even the ones that you can barely tell are Blue Ribands...

How do Others View your Pipe Smoking?

The women in the family dislike it (my wife tolerates it); the men bring a pipe or two when they come visit (even though they don't smoke otherwise).

    Pipe Game Rookie

I'm of the mind that when starting out, variety is the best way to go. Find out what you like. I do think it is important to have at least one cob in your collection. Things I'd rather use a cob for than a $150 briar: 1. Learning how to manipulate the flame to not char the rim of your pipe...

C&D Sunbear 2021 Edition “Black Locust”

It was indeed a freshly opened tin and like I said, it was good. I have never been a big fan of C&D probably because my palette isn't good enough to recognize the slight changes they make from tobacco to tobacco. Can I taste the tequila they use? Nope. Can I tell the difference between small...

C&D Sunbear 2021 Edition “Black Locust”

It's good, not great. Had some of a buddy's. I have a couple tins for aging, we'll see if it gets better. Wouldn't sell the farm for it. Plenty of better tobaccos that are more available. C&D is getting ridiculous with their "limited" releases.
