    Is This Normal?

Absolutely not! You have a problem and are in need of an immediate intervention. Now listen carefully - package all of that up and ship it to me tomorrow. It is very important that you do this for your own good.

Let's Discuss Birth Year Pipes. Photos Appreciated.

For the younger among us, Castello is also an option for a pipe with a date code stamp. If I remember correctly they started stamping the date code in the mid-1980s.

    Long Term Cigar Storage

In my opinion, that is way too high for long-term storage. I'd suggest closer to 65% for long-term. At 75% you run a substantial risk of mold if the temp. gets above 70. I second the use of a cooler or rubbermaid container with the Heartfelt beads. Have been using this setup for about 10...

Savinelli Punto Oro Corallo vs Castello

Pictures are worth a thousand words. Both are nice pipes and should provide a lifetime of smoking pleasure. Pick the one that speaks to you the most.

Let's See Those Beat Up Old Faithfuls!

good topic! I'd post mine, but I smoke too infrequently and have too many pipes for any of them to fall into this category, other than my very first pipe (a basket pipe) that I burned out and tossed years ago.

    New Pipe Pouch (Pic Not-So-Heavy)

nice job! Love the hardware. Is there a loop or any other way to secure the pipe from moving around? If you did a larger one to hold more than one pipe, I think that would be important.

K&P & Peterson: Whats the Difference?

Please don't take my comment about silver too seriously. It is just my own observation. I could be completely wrong. And if I am right, there are always exceptions to the general rule. It is not uncommon for inconsistent stamping from Peterson. For example, I have a Peterson Killarney pipe...

K&P & Peterson: Whats the Difference?

The original name of the company was Knapp and Peterson. Eventually, it became just Peterson, but the K&P trademark was already establish and I believe has been in continuous use. Just from personal observation, it seems that all silver is stamped K&P

    Peterson 312 NAP Bit.

@jiminks Was this project an official Peterson project, or was the a Mark Irwan project where the original Peterson stems were replaced with the replica stems? Not that it matters, just curious. Very nice looking pipe and interesting story behind it.
