How Soon Can I Repack My Pipe
Go ahead and see what happens. Ain't gonna hurt nothing. If you smoke dry tobacco it isn't a problem to smoke like that. If your tobacco is quite moist and you smoke fast then it can build up moisture with multiple bowls. Whether or not that makes mucn of a difference for your next smoke also...- F4RM3R

I've had that smell alot with old pipes I have picked up. Alot of the times from a latakia smoker I think. Have you tried smoking them and see if the taste comes through? I find after a couple bowls that antique aroma disappears and is replaced by whatever else you are smoking.- F4RM3R

Well I got some holdger danske black and bourbon and it definitely had Burley. But now looking at tobacco review it actually says US burley....so I guess it's possible? Haha That's the only Danish aromatic I've ever bought so I can't say much for the other brands you were talking about...- F4RM3R

It also depends on the tobacco you're smoking. If the bottom of your bowls are soggy dottle at the end then it's going to need more rest. If it's relatively dry at the end of a smoke then less rest.
