    Summer Suggestions

Personally, I've never had a seasonal preference for blends. I live in an area with four very distinctly different seasons, but nonetheless never developed a seasonal preference.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2021?***

Sansepolcro in my MM Freehand. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time I smoked out of a briar. Not by intention/design, I just keep preferring my cobs. Maybe because most of my daily blends are cob-friendly. I don't know.

Results Of My Prince Albert Blending Attempts

I had been trying to add some burley "oomph" to Prince Albert, since it only comes in a big tub now, and I don't generally like mild tobaccos, except on occasion. Preliminary Results: Kelly's Coin: Worked very well in first round at 50/50. After some experimentation, about 1/3 Kelly's to...

Now lighting up C&D Cube Cut Burley mixed with Prince Albert in a cob. Wanted to compare C&D Cube Cut Burley with Kelly's Coin as a blending burley. I already like all three mentioned straight as well.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2021?***

Update on previous post: Kelly's Coin with Pirate Kake is much better than Prince Albert with Pirate Kake. I was trying things to mix with Prince Albert but it turns out I found better mixes using Kelly's Coin. I wish it (Kellys) came in bulk. So, currently smoking a mix of Kelly's Coin...

Prince Albert mixed with Pirate Kake in a MM Country Gent. 50/50 I can't tell I even added PA, but it's good.

***What Are You Smoking, June 2021?***

Still tweaking my Prince Albert/Kelly's Coin mix. 70/30 (PA to Coin) seems quite good. Testing it now in a MM Freehand cob.

    TAD - I Went Crazy with a C&D Haul

I can say the Bookshop and OJK come a little dry, by design I think. For that reason, they make great stuff and light bowls, but some folks may indeed consider them a little too dry.
