Looking to Buy a Meerschaum Pipe

In my experience, the coloring process for each, individual meerschaum pipe is unpredictable. There are many factors to consider, and some can't be known until the pipe is smoked. You can have 50 IMP pipes, for example, and 50 smokers smoking them with different frequency and different...

    Meerschaum Pipe Care

I've been smoking and collecting Meers since ... well, a long time :-) I generally will avoid holding the bowl of a NEW meerschaum for the first 10 or 20 smokes, as the wax settles in. After that, no problem. I hold and smoke my meers just like any briar, they color just fine.

House of Calabash, Still In Business?

I just called the House of Calabash to order some tobacco from Steven Books, and their phone number is no longer in service. Does anyone know what's happening there? I know Mr. Books has many fans of his fine blends. I hope all is well.
