Mc Baren's blends that equals to CH

In the MacBaren line, Symphony would be the closest to CH. However, like Chasing said... it's really nothing like it, lol. You may want to check out P&C Chatham Manor. Basically a CH match, but blended by Russ and made with far superior tobacco. I have heard many say that it's phenomenal and...

    Which Single Blend Defines You?

Hey, it was another thread that someone started... rather amusing responses in there. The extent of matching my pipe to my clothes is that I have clothes and I have a pipe. The end.

    What I Do

Cool shit, HM. Very nice work.

    Which Single Blend Defines You?

So kinda like matching your pipe to your clothes... only with tobacco?

Greg Pease and Drucquer & Sons

Interesting to see these blends coming back. If it winds up being mostly the list that Iggy posted, I will pass. Latakia in every single one. No thanks. The two blends that Hunter mentioned sound interesting though. Hopefully those make the list.

Review: Homegrown Tobacco in a Clay Tavern Pipe with a Pint of Homebrew

Christ... there are a million types of Burley... I'm gonna have to plant in the park, lol.

Review: Homegrown Tobacco in a Clay Tavern Pipe with a Pint of Homebrew

I think my bigger concern would be curing. Not sure of the space needed.

Review: Homegrown Tobacco in a Clay Tavern Pipe with a Pint of Homebrew

I just want Burley... Burley, Burley, Burley. I'll grow them in shoes if I have to.

    My regular rotation

Not sure if this was meant to be a sharing thread... but here are the most smoked in my rotation... guess I'm a little boring.

C&D Odessa: Oriental or Balkan blend?

I find I prefer it in just about every blend.

Review: Homegrown Tobacco in a Clay Tavern Pipe with a Pint of Homebrew

I probably have enough space in my small backyard to do a few plants. Maybe I'll look at it when I overhaul the backyard in the spring. We just bought the house and moved in, so the backyard consists of some concrete and stone. Working on the design now... will need to save for this project...

    Factory Vs House Blends

Crash, that's a different situation and I agree. What Cosmic is saying though is not uncommon. I have come across a few places that will insist that their jar of 1Q that they call Wilshire or some other fluffy name, is a hand made, custom blended tobacco when in fact it got dumped out of a 5...

Review: Homegrown Tobacco in a Clay Tavern Pipe with a Pint of Homebrew

Would love to grow my own, but city living doesn't really afford me much space to do so. I wonder if the city would mind if I start growing tobacco in the public park behind my house?

    Which Single Blend Defines You?

Man, this is a tough one. For a long time, it was ODF. Now though, if I really look deep, I guess OJK. It's classic, it's blue collar, strong and dependable. What more could you ask for, right?

    Permission To Come Aboard!

I'm surprised you would even mention Early Morning Pipe in your Latakia aversion. It's VA and Oriental forward and I don't even think you would know there is Lat in there without seeing it in a description.

C&D Odessa: Oriental or Balkan blend?

Going with Anthony's breakdown on English vs. Balkan vs. Oriental, I would agree that it's in the Balkan vein. However, as Aristokles mentioned, It's a Burley base and has no VA in it, so an Americanized Balkan would seem to be the best descriptor. When I could still handle Latakia, I...

    Permission To Come Aboard!

I'm a Burley guy and not crazy about Latakia to boot, but I'm tempted to try this one. Good reviews for sure, both here and TR.com.

    Grandfather's Spirit Tobacco?

Some INTENSE stuff. I think Cosmic likes to chew on this from time to time. The sample I got was really dried out, but a little bit of hydration and it wasn't a bad smoke. No frills, but it will get your juices running.

A Newbie Reviews: C&D Cube Cut Burley

Yep. It's right up there in my rotation. I use it to add strength and flavor to just about anything. Great to add to some black cav when you want a blend that still has some balls, but will not offend the company.
