    @sallow - Sorry, maybe semantics... but peoples "opinions" of what a blend are do not a definition make. Just my opinion... or definition... errr, nevermind. Agree to disagree works though. Not really that big of a deal.

    And therein lies the misunderstanding. An Aromatic does not need to mask the tobacco flavor to be an Aromatic. University Flake is by all definitions an Aromatic. There is a topping added to the tobacco after it is processed.

    I smoked this for quite some time, but it grew tiring on the taste buds. Deertongue is certainly an acquired taste. As far as the nic hit goes... that's the C&D Cubed Burley. It's got its fair share and is one of the best cubed Burleys out there in my opinion.

    My uneducated guess on that one would be that whatever flavors are there, would be done at the casing stage. Unlike University Flake which has an actual topping applied.

    The question that Tom posted about Aro's that are not top dressed... not sure if I missed a response to that, but I can think of one. I'm pretty sure C&D Autumn Evening does not have a topping, but the flavoring is added during the steaming process. I could be tooootallly wrong on that though.

    Fact is that each of those three blends is topped, not just cased at processing. They are no doubt aromatics.

    What Duane said. I typically have to bend just the very end straight. They get jacked up when they cut them at the factory, and sometimes in transit.
