    The Country Squire tobaccos

Has anyone had the Rivendell? Sounds like a very light aromatic, but they don't list any of the component tobacco. Curious if it's Burley based or something else.

    Philly Morley's Pipe Club - 10/6/2016

That's the plan, Les. As of right now, the schedule is clear.

    A Newbie Reviews: C&D Crooner

Will be easier to get out after only one smoke, but I think there is enough in Crooner to ghost it a bit.

Ordered A Pouch of Carter Hall for the First Time.

Carter Hall is a decent smoke. I always keep a tub of this around, along with the Prince. I can't say I smoke it often as I usually find it way to light for my tastes. I think this and PA can be great intro tobaccos for new smokers as well. I have heard the P&C copy, Chatham Manor is more...

    Philly Morley's Pipe Club - 10/6/2016

I know Les usually does this, but I figured I would get it up and out there. Little early this month. Same time, same place. Thursday, October 6th at 7 PM, The Pen & Pencil Club in Philly. Stop in for good food, good booze and plenty of tobacco getting passed around.

High Nicotine Blends with Good Room Note

I would agree with Royal Yacht. My experience has been the same as MSO, and most people seem to find it agreeable. Another is University Flake. Got plenty of nicotine and the berry topping that they use seems to be pleasant in the room... or so I have been told.

    Where Is Pike's Place?

Doesn't Lane already do this? 8O

    Fall Blend Recommendation

I don't fancy Latakia much anymore, but even when I did, it was more of a Winter thing vs. Fall. For me, a great Fall blend is OJK. It's deep, rich and woodsy from the Burleys with a touch of sweet from the red VA. A perfect blend for those cool fall days, with plenty of flavor to keep you...

Aros that actually taste like they smell

I was an anti-aro guy for a long time. Not because I had an issue with anyone that smoked them, I simply found them boring and wispy in flavor and strength. Recently though, I have a new found appreciation for them. With the variety of tobacco out there and the ability to add whatever the hell...

A Newbie Reviews: Mac Baren Virginia Flake

Amen to that. VA #1 was one of the first VA's I attempted back in the day. Would have been better off sucking on a blow torch.

It's actual leaf. Those green specks you see are deertongue. Unless something changed.

Basic Mc Barens Blends- Aros or not?

    Yep, I suppose so.

Basic Mc Barens Blends- Aros or not?

One that is smoked while driving an 18 wheeler?? Good question. I'm simply going by industry definition as Cosmic mentioned. Like I also stated earlier... they need to expand the descriptors. The current list doesn't cut it.

Basic Mc Barens Blends- Aros or not?

I would say it's an Aromatic. Light and subtle, but an Aromatic by the "industry" definition.

    A Newbie Reviews: C&D Crooner

    Very different flavor, IMO.

I have an OPEN tin of C&D Organic Pipe Dreams from 2008. Cracked it open sometime last year and smoked maybe 1 bowl out of it. It probably needs a little re-hydration, but it's not totally dried out yet.

Basic Mc Barens Blends- Aros or not?

Now that you mention it 8O

Basic Mc Barens Blends- Aros or not?

I smoke some Aromatics... not ashamed. Granted, they get doctored up with some heavy duty Burley, but still an aro.
