    Amazing. The VA's in it age nicely. Ramps up the natural sweetness to my taste buds. It's a really nice interplay between the heavy duty Burleys and Perique. I have a 1 lb. tin from 2009 that is next to be opened. I can't wait to try that.

    I think that was my issue. All the stock I am smoking is over 5 years old. So comparing the old and new side by side... the new definitely seems more... uniform in cut would be a good way to put it. Might not be a bad thing. Will see when I smoke some.

    Funny thing, I love OJK, but did not fancy this flake at all. I found it rough around the edges and harsh. I popped the top back on and threw it back in the cellar. Might be worth another try after it's had a bit of time to calm down.

    @Hawky - I don't disagree with that. All valid points. I guess I'm simply saying, if you have a blend in bulk that you like, and the same blend is NOT offered in a tin, why settle for an alternative simply to have the tin.

    I guess I'm with the majority here. Grab pipe... smoke for as long as I want, put pipe back, grab another. They get cleaned when they need it, and they rest when they tell me they need a rest. Not unheard of for me to smoke the same pipe 3 or 4 days in a row without rotating.
