I think someone has been hitting the wrong pipe

What's This?!?! A Bullk Royal Yacht Match Offering?!?!

Will be if someone tries this and reports back.

    Over/Under Rated Blends.

Underrated: As Cosmic said, Wessex Burley Slices. I stock up on this whenever it's available. You always hear people talking about Solani ABF, but I honestly think that Wessex is the superior product. Overrated: Sorry... but Stonehaven. It's a decent tobacco, but it is not the unicorn farts...

Sutliff - Find Your Perfect Blend Computer Quiz

Yep. BS then, BS now. I did neutral on every question except for Latakia, which I selected "hate". I got Fox & Hound... which is a Latakia blend.

Flavoring Flake/Rope Tobacco With Rum/Whisky Etc.

So far, I've not had any luck with this. I'm currently testing a batch of C&D Cube Cut with Spiced Rum. It's been sitting and melding now for almost 2 weeks, so it's probably time to give it a go. I agree though, unless the spirit is very strong, the paper towel trick is not going to do it. The...

    Putting Faces with Names

I thought we did this in another thread already... ahh, what the hell.

How to store your tobacco properly

For cellaring, I use 3 mil, food grade Mylar bags. Fill the bags, press most of the air out, zipper seal and then heat seal. Easy to store in totes and you don't have the weight of jars. For day to day stuff that I smoke, it's mason jars.

Notice of unpaid tobacco tax in NJ

If a retailer is located out-of-state and has no actual physical location within the consumers state, typically the retailer has no obligation to collect their sales, tobacco, or other tax. It is the consumers responsibility to pay any tax that is owed to their home state. New Jersey however...

    The Uses Of Forums

The "What Are You Smoking" thread, or WAYS for short, is an interesting beast. In it's form here, it is pretty much a checklist of what you have smoked during the day. Other that what people are able to extract from it for their own personal use related to getting ideas, it doesn't serve much of...

    The Uses Of Forums

Amen. They think we are stodgy old codgers. Very thoughtful of them to think so highly of us. I'm all for them being successful though. Fact is the membership there makes up a group of younger pipers that are most likely a large part of the future of this hobby. I hold no ill will, just not my...

    The Uses Of Forums

Yep. You couldn't pay me to hang out there. I'm a member at a few places. Here and 2 others. One of the others is a private forum. Limited to about 30 people. Most of us have known each other for over 10 years, from previous forums. It was decided at some point that the best way to make a true...

    The Uses Of Forums

I think there are two camps. There are the old codgers that could give to squats about talking about pipes & tobacco. Give them their tub of PA, their 1 or 2 pipes a year from the drug store and they are content to go about their business. It's not a hobby to them, it's not some brotherhood...

7 Day Set by Scottie Piersel

Oh man... Scottie... I'm feeling very left out. Nice work. Very impressed.

7 Day Set by Scottie Piersel

Oh man, I can't wait to see these, Jon. I'm an unabashed fan of Scottie as you know. I suspect these are all stunning.

    What Would It Take?

Tex, there is also the issue that in NY, I'm pretty sure that as a new B&M, they would not allow you to have a smoking lounge. Existing B&M's were grandfathered in... so there goes a major part of your business draw.

    Non Famous Pipe Smokers

Here is my ugly mug... sorry. See the resemblance to my avatar?

    Support for C&D

Write them off... not a chance. They are working to resolve it and make it right. Not sure there is much more you can ask for in a company.

Broken Pipe Tony "Mr. Can" Soderman

Sorry to hear about this, Dave. Will raise a pipe in his honor today.

Plateau Spot On A Bowl - Thoughts?

I say go for it, Al. After seeing all of the pics, I think it just contributes to the look of the pipe. It's unique, kinda like a birthmark.

C&D Christmas Blend - Corn Cob Pipe

Thanks, Curl Correct... so it won't leave you feeling antsy. Re-reading it, my grammar may have been a bit confusing. Sorry about that.
