    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Escudo from 2003, purchased from JR Cigars. I think I paid $25ish for a sleeve of 5 tins. Upon opening I was hit with the scent of rich, dark fruit, a slight vinegar tang, and a hint of the fermented soy sauce-like aroma I often find in well-aged VAs. Three coins, lightly rubbed out, went into a...

    Question for the Guitar Players

If you're looking for a less permanent but still effective solution, a wrap of painter's tape around the pin can help provide enough friction to keep it in place.

Very nice Sigmund! Love the window. Renovating or building can be a huge hassle, but it is extremely satisfying as well.

Peterson B10. Are There Any Lovers/Haters of This Shape?

I love the shape, but the one B10 I have (a Cara) is not a great smoker. It's a bummer because I love how it looks and the feel of it in hand.

    Escudo Alternative

For quality and price, I think C & D's VaPers are hard to beat. Bayou Morning and Poplar Camp are both great. Exclusive is also very good.

    C&D Winchester & Others

Yes, i usually dry it out a bit. I tend to keep an ounce or so in a pouch on my desk which helps bring it to my preferred moisture level. "Light crisp' is a perfect description. @BenMN, thanks for the additional info!

    C&D Winchester & Others

Well said @mortonbriar ! Nothing extraordinary about Winchester, but it is delicious and well behaved. I'm smoking some right now mixed with @25% C&D long cut perique, and it's fantastic.

    C&D Winchester & Others

I first tried Winchester only about a year ago, and it's become an almost daily smoke for me. I've yet to have a disappointing bowl. I'd love to try it with some perique added.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

Started the day with some Blackpool in a cob. Not sure how old it was- I haven't purchased any Esoterica blends in a long time- but it was a very nice smoke. I just now am enjoying some Germain's Plum Cake in a tiny Dunhill saddle stem billiard that I keep for scented tobaccos.
