    A & C Petersen Tobaccos Still Available?

Edit: double post...I'd like to blame the stupid iPhone, but probably user error.

    A & C Petersen Tobaccos Still Available?

Simenon, yes I saw that. However if someone can either back me up, or correct me; I don't believe that's when the label changed to the current one with the STG logo on it...

    A & C Petersen Tobaccos Still Available?

When did escudo changeover from a&cp to STG occur? I have lots of pre STG tins and I'm not sure how old they are. I've had them at least 4 years.

    Is This a Stupid Question?

I have zero scientific reason but letting it come to room temperature before jarring instinctively feels right. Maybe someone can scientifically back up that gut reaction...maybe not.

    NASCAR

I did the color guard in the nationwide race (the short guy holding the Florida flag), and hung out in the pits for the race. It was a really great day with a tragic ending. My thoughts still go out to all the fans still recovering from injuries sustained during that one in a million freak...

My Next Pipe - Savinelli Tundra

I own a tundra 320 smooth. Awesome finish, long dry smokes. And I get compliments on its appearance pretty regularly. If I was choosing between the two you linked I would take the tundra over the caramella hands down, but you wouldn't be going wrong with either of them.

    Zippo Fumes?

No, the problem with fuel taste is interference with the tobacco tasting the way the blender intended it to taste. I guarantee few people here think covering up one foreign flavor with another one that you introduce intentionally is a good idea.

    Limited Edition C&D Christmas Blend

How does a company get away with saying "only available at ..." When it is available somewhere else...cheaper at that?

    Thoughts?

Knowing nothing about his particular tastes makes this kind of difficult to comment on. That being said, as far as quality goes, it is nearly impossible to beat savinelli for the price, in my humble opinion. Aesthically it's hard to say what a random person will like, as far as smoking quality...

Harris, glad your re-try was enjoyable. I had a similar experience makes me wonder about other blends I've given up on...

    New Boswell's Pipes

There's a bunch of new pipes posted at Boswell's today. I especially like the black poker, unfortunately my pipe budget is gone for a while. Oh well, hopefully some of you guys (&gals) get some of them and enjoy!

    B&M over Internet

I like to support local business. I make a lot of purchases in the B&M for pipes, accessories, snus, etc. However, because of the local (FL) tax situation, buying tobacco at the B&M is not an option for me. If that ever changes, I would gladly buy tobacco at the B&M as well.

    Stem bleach treatment question

It won't turn it black again. Soaking in bleach or oxyclean solution draws the oxidation to the surface. The whole stem will turn brownish and kind of slimy feeling. I usually soak overnight. Then magic eraser then wet sand then obsidian oil. Gary
