    Pipes You Don't Smoke?

I prefer an estate pipe to have been smoked prior to my smoking it, for some reason. In fact, I have reservations about being the first to smoke a completely restored estate, or a brand new pipe. I fully understand your not wanting to smoke any of your vintage pipes. Weird? It's all speculative.

    About those Nirvana/Ultimate smokes…

So true! I have a couple of cigarettes in the morning and a few throughout the day, just for the nic hit. Very seldom do I get the opportunity to smoke a pipe at work, unless I have to travel onto the mainland, which is a good 40 minutes or so, etc., Taste & relaxation are the key elements...

    About those Nirvana/Ultimate smokes…

I can't smoke a pipe unless I'm sat down for 90% of the time. Sit back, light-up & enjoy. As for the Nirvana moment, well yes, it does happen now and again.

    Pipes You Don't Smoke?

I have a few pipes that have drifted out of my rotation. I really need to sit down and have a cull and get them listed for sale. I've even got brand new unsmoked Dunhills & Castellos that have not seen flame yet.

    Howdy from Albuquerque, NM

Yeah, most of it's pretty good. A buddy & myself go to a pork BBQ every Friday, right after work. Few bottles of bokbunja (Korean raspberry wine) and about a kilo of pork. A great way to wrap the week up.

Weird date code Dunhill Root Briar DR???

George knows his stuff, that's for sure. I've got a LBS from 1975, which has a stem similar/same as what George has described here above.

Of course, it would have helped if I'd attached the photo in the original post......

    Dunhill Re-stamp

To our more learned friends. I found a Dunhill for sale on the "Bay" and asked the seller to supply more photos, I wanted to see the date stamp in particular, which he did do, although the date stamp isn't too clear. Please see the attached. However, I see that the "MADE IN ENGLAND" has been...

There's only one "E" available for PERIQUE, or are you allowed to use the letters more than once?🤔

    Wind Caps

Jesse, Do all of your Barlings, with wind caps, smoke hot? I only ask, since the one you posted in the picture has the vents facing aft, but I've seen some with vents on the top of the cap. Great looking pipe, by the way.

Different Tobacco in the Same Day?

I hadn't thought about cleansing one's palate until reading this post. Many have suggested a slice of apple will do it. I mostly drink apple cider of an evening, with a bourbon chaser. I guess that helps...🍻
