Thoughts on a "New to Me" Talamona Pipe

That's a good looking pipe! I've got a few pipes hanging out in a drawer that I should be following your example and let go. It's been an adventure discovering the pipes that have that "just right" feel.

Thoughts on a "New to Me" Talamona Pipe

The few reviews I have found seem to match what you're saying. They appear to have a decent reputation as being a good value for the money. It's a good reminder that interesting and enjoyable pipes don't always have to cost a fortune.

Thoughts on a "New to Me" Talamona Pipe

When I've seen the Talamona Marco Polo in photos before it would catch my eye as a curiosity. Having no experience with Talamona pipes, I have been hesitant to go out on a limb for something new and reviews are a little scarce. When this one popped up on eBay, I put it on my watch list just out...

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

Spent my rainy yesterday finishing up the refresh on this Talamona Marco Polo with a horn shank extension. About to take it for a test drive with some Arango Balkan Supreme and a nice cup of black coffee.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

This was from yesterday, taking advantage of the sunshine and last bit of warmth before the deep cold sets in. Bob's Chocolate Flake (still deciding what I think of it) in a J.M. Boswell.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

About to go for a lakeside walk with Carolina red & perique in a briar claw & egg mystery pipe. Somebody has to keep it weird.

    Vauen Luxus White Dot

Nice pipe! I've only got one Vauen, its filterless with a horn stem and "P-lip" style" button. No white dot, but I do love this pipe. I also happen to like the "P-lip" style, it makes for an easy jaw hanger without biting down on the stem when you need to go hands free. I wouldn't mind picking...

***What Are You Smoking, January 2024?***

Happy New Year! Heading in to work this morning with a little sterling spigot mystery pipe (no marks other than 925) I picked up for driving and wandering. It's filled with Bosun Cut Plug.

    Churchwardens

I love my long stem and churchwarden pipes. I don't post them often because, like when I get into a restoration, I'm too focused on the pipe to take photos. From top to bottom: Mystery meer with a new acrylic stem, Neerup, Mystery carved dog with new acrylic stem, Butz Choquin, Mario Armellini...
