    Naming Patterns.

I also love colorful names. And I smoke Capstan Blue on Jan 3. I do wish the tin said what it had in it, or if it had toppings so I knew what I am buying but that's what manic research is for! If I was expert, I wouldn't have anything to delve too deeply and cellar to greedily on....

STG closes Mac Baren and Sutliff

Just popping in, if this has been mentioned, forgive. I think a bigger fear for the pipe community is how this will effect the leaf that is grown. If STG continues to support farmers from around the globe and carries on Mac Baren blends, i.e. the amount of leaf bought from the...

    Opinions on the Prince Shape

I can only really speak to Briarworks Prince Pipes. I have a Savinelli but it's a Churchwarden so I don't feel like that qualifies. The Prince is one of my favorite pipes for sure. The shape allows the index finger to fit snug around it and the stem length is enough that makes it a great...

    SG Navy Flake

If I was captain on one of his majesty's vessels, I would smoking nothing but this blend. A touch of exotic, a touch of run, big virginia. The good stuff.

    Pipe Hobby Waxing and Waning

    Pipe Hobby Waxing and Waning

I hear the op 100%. I can be daily one week and nothing the next. I can look at my cellar and be proud one day, and ashamed the next.. If I had one pipe, and smoked and owned a single tin at a time, I would be a jim dandy happy pipe smoker. I love it, but sometimes I can leave it. That's how...

    Seriously? Rustication Gone Awry?

I dig the pete rustication on select pipes. Maybe not that particular one.

    Less is More

I've been doing to the same to a degree. I tried to trade a ton of good stuff off for other good stuff and had moderates success. Now I am giving a pipe here and there to friends that show interest.

    TAD Acquisitions 2024

All of this is from 2011ish. $10/tin. Never had any but felt like a nice English blend lot for fall with lots of age. Any comment on these blends?
