What to do with Pipes that Just Don't Click?
I think weather plays a part too. Barometric pressure, humidity and such. Some days I can smoke my favorites and the taste and aromas are very pleasing. Other days, just kind of "meh". I haven't figured out the correlation yet, but that's the only difference I can determine.- Silvrbdgr

Here's my take: If you chase it, you ain't gonna catch it. When you absentmindedly smoke, you'll just find yourself at the end of a perfect smoke. Different Tobacco in the Same Day?
I don't intentionally cleanse my palate. I smoke 3 or so different tobaccos during the day, so I have normally had some food and or drink between bowls.- Silvrbdgr

Tapping out ash...
I'll tamp, to get any tobacco around the edges of the bowl back into play, then ash. It's usually 8 or so puffs after I light up.- Silvrbdgr
