    Well said. I have recommended cobs to new smokers, but mainly from a financial point of view. I see the logic in your points... I might have to revise my thinking. :-)

    I was thinking about this just this morning, as I laid out my tobacco for the day. I think the time definitely varies with the blend, and also how long the tin has been opened. For aros, 30 minutes improves the burn for me. Eight hours is too long for most, but I have one local house blend...

    Very good opinions. Got this thread bookmarked. I am smoking Brigadier Black Alamo at the moment, very tasty right out of the can and even better when dried. I'm smoking it for a review, so I haven't got into the Waterloo yet. The one bowl I had was very satisfying.

    I think that's short for BAD ASS THANG! I wonder about that knot-looking thing on the rim. If it's a fill, it sure fits the scale of the pipe. Could it be a chamber of some sort? Store an extra ounce of tobacco? Spare mag for the Glock? Seriously, tho, that pipe is Formidable.
