    Changing tastes

For one, my preference in vitola has certainly changed. I started off with robustos and torpedos, and now my favorites are coronas and lanceros. Another difference is that i now only smoke higher end Dominican sticks and favor Nicaraguan tobacco almost exclusively for mid-lower price points...

    Smoking Habits

1st bowl upon waking, sometimes a 2nd. Next one after breakfast and that's when i'm getting warmed up. This is usually my first post on the WAYS thread. Then i get to work, if i have work to do, and the smoking commences throughout the day. Average is around 8-12 bowls and often at least 1...

    Hello from Georgia.

Welcome from the Pacific NW. Lots of good info and knowledgeable membership here. Do share what kind of pipes/tobacco you're using to make your come-back. :)

How Often do you Really Need to Clean your Pipe?

My answer here is the same for the last thread a month ago entitled "stem cleaning." Verbatim: I think it's a good idea to run a cleaner through them often. I find that if this is done after each smoke it keeps the job EZ. 95% of my pipes get the cleaner from bit to bowl w/o removing the stem...

One of my favorite KBV offerings, of the ones i've tried so far. Nice pipe, too. ;) After dinner relaxation campaign bowl of C&D Bluegrass in an Armellini.

1 more while i thaw out a couple 1 1/2" chuck eyes destined for the air fryer soon. Keeping the aperitif on the lighter side. For this a bowl of Twilight will fit the bill nicely. Throwing it in an HS Pipe Studio freehand.

    Any Port Drinkers?

Washington's Whidbey Island has a nice ruby, aptly named "Whidbey's," which i used to enjoy when i drank sweeter things. Also used to make my own back in my wine/beer making days. I once made a black currant port ("porto corinto") that i used to trade my cable guy for popping the filter off...

    Canadian Style Pro And Con

Oh, Canadian! One of these days... Had my eye on this shape for quite a while and all these years have never bit the bullet yet. It will have to be just right (and just the right price). When these stars align, i'll have more to say on such a topic. ;) Until then, i'll be oogling from afar!
