***What Are You Smoking, September 2024?***

Just handled my business and had a big bowl of menudo while i was at it. Time to simmer down with a bowl of 2009 VA #1 in an HS Pipe Studio pencil shanked bamboo billiard. The stain on this is deep purple, but it's only noticeable with flash or in direct sunlight. Otherwise, you'd think it...

    Esteli Nicaragua cigars

This is one of my 3 favorite soils in the world for cigar tobacco. I actually enjoy some of the higher end Nicaraguan cigars just as well as stuff from the blessed isle of Cuba. The third shout out goes to Dominican Republic, however, i don't enjoy their lower end stuff. I've said for years...

    Inhalation

Since i started smoking later in life, with cigars, and never having been a cigarette smoker i can say i do not inhale pipe smoke. I have, on a couple occasions, inhaled maybe a 1/4 puff just out of sheer curiosity, but it is certainly not my thing! :P Even when using medicinal cannabis...

Years of Pipe Smoking vs. Pipe + Tobacco Count

19 years of pipe smoking. 62 pipes currently in rotation. Guessing 60-70 open jars of various sizes (ranging from very large to very small) for ready smoking. Again guessing maybe 200 or so tins (ranging from 2oz - 8oz). A very large bin full that i try not to exceed, but it's to the tippy top...

***What Are You Smoking, September 2024?***

Handled all my paperwork and phone calls for the day. Swung over to the local Mexican restaurant and grabbed a bowl of Caldo Siete Mares (a soup with 7 sea food offerings) to curb the appetite and now it's time for a relaxing smoke as the sun slides behind the treetops in the backyard. Hitting...

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

The meer brought out more flavor in this one, which i why i'll keep it smoking there. The morta, which usually gets along great with all the other lat blends i still smoke, just left it feeling a little light or even flat. I'm never satisfied if something comes across too light. My favorites...

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Decided to pop a couple tins today. First up, the Orcilla Mixture i had originally posted for sale. I've been curious about it for a while and was on the fence with whether or not to post it or smoke it. I have so much open tobacco and was already doing a lat-themed sale so it fit the bill...

    Being Petersonised

Many Pete fans out there. I, personally, have never owned one. But we each have to find what suits us best both in style and performance. We're all different and it's a damn good thing there are so many different brands and artisans out there so we can all land on home base with a little...

New Arrival - They Are Proliferating Like Rabbits

I concur. As long as it doesn't happen to hit just right, they're tougher than they get credit for. Also, dedicate that genre and deviate as desired. A ghost can be exorcised either with cleaning or time. I do the same with most of mine without issue. Enjoy it! :)
