    That is a Caroleer pipe. It was made by Custombilt from Mountain Laurel during WWII. I have 3 or 4 of them. They are talked about in the Custom Bilt book by Bill Unger. John Hudson Moore was a distributor of Custombilt pipes.

    Well crap you figured out that it hangs effortlessly. I don't know if you will need to use a pipe cleaner while smoking with the system. I just take the petersons apart and clean the stem and bowl/sump seperately.
