My opinion would be one of the standard system pipes….314? 312 maybe?

125th Anniversary Rua Deluxe System Pipe

I just gifted one of my best pals a beautiful 2s example for a Christmas present last night! Got the pipe from another member here a couple weeks back. We both have young families, and sat back with a whiskey and roasted a bowl after an amazing dinner with our families together, watching the...

This next one is an interesting pipe to say the least. This puppy traveled all the way from Italy, and has left me perplexed in more than one way! From the Kapries line, this pipe has an impressively symmetrical show of ring grain. It’s interesting, because it’s very different than the newer...

Next up a shape 305 from the 125th anniversary line in the barley finish. I’m partial to bent billiards, apples, eggs, and brandys for the most part. I enjoy pipes that feel good in hand, and for me that’s lead me to mainly those shapes. The calabash/Dublin shapes have grown on me slowly, as I...

Ok so after a brief hiatus for work here’s another piece in the great late ‘23 Pete PAD spree that I never finished posting…..lol First up, another from the Rua 125th anniversary, a dandy little 20s. I like pretty much everything about this pipe, not much more can be said. Not the best blast of...

Anyone have a side by side of a B42 and a Sherlock professor?

125th Anniversary Rua Deluxe System Pipe

so the next question then…is what’s stamped on the bottoms of the dark/black Deluxe System sandblast 9B pipes that were released this year?

125th Anniversary Rua Deluxe System Pipe

Lol that’s kinda funny. “While they have some stamps going back to the 1950s, the older, smaller number stamps are gone–probably worn out. But we all know these are “B” stems. And so do they.”

It does seem to have quite a bit of the vertical running grain that grabbed and kept the dark stain. I think the variety and difference in grain and the stain process in these rua pipes in particular is very pretty. Lookin forward to seeing yours!

125th Anniversary Rua Deluxe System Pipe

Yea ? Speaking of…What’s up with the model designations? B is tapered, S is saddle, generally ? I noticed the “9B”s in the deluxe system range were noticeably shorter than the 125th Rua ”9s” models. Not really a criticism, just an observation. Mine is most certainly stamped 9s on the pipe itself .

125th Anniversary Rua Deluxe System Pipe

Posted a photo on the “show your Petersons” thread, but thought maybe some here would like to see some different angles lol. Pretty groovy guys! I’ve really enjoyed seeing other folks pipes that have shared, if anyone else feels inclined, would love to see them!

Next up from the recent Peterson binge… The 125th anniversary in the Rua sandblast, 9s. I must admit, I’m pretty smitten. Not only this particular pipe, but the series in general. The blasts from what I’ve seen are pretty spectacular. I also find myself very intrigued by the finish, it’s like I...

Second installment in the ongoing “Pipe Acquisition Disorder Series” of Petersons, lol. I very much enjoy the Christmas pipes. I mean, how can you not. For me the coziness of winter, great memories of past holidays, bourbon, good food, so on and so fourth all tie into the greater pipe...

The first pipe in my string of recent SEVERE, and I mean severe PAD, lol. God help us…haha. This Sherlock Professor is my first foray into the Sherlock series, and I really like the over exaggerated nature of its fullness and flowing lines. This particular pipe has a damn nice blast, especially...

125th Anniversary Rua Deluxe System Pipe

Oh heck yea. Man I gotta say, the nicer grade Peterson’s that have been put out lately have been really impressive. Lots of neat limited runs
