    Zippo

I received a Zippo a few years back as a gift, and like some of you wanted to buy a pipe insert. Not finding one for sale anywhere I called Zippo customer service to see if they would sell me one and they sent me one for free. I'm guessing they would rather sell lighters and lighter fluid...

    Best Country Squire Blends

I hadn't found an aromatic that I cared to smoke regularly in over 25 years until sampling a few blends from Country Squire. I absolutely love Old Toby, and was pleasantly surprised by White Rose. I highly recommend you give both a try.

    Top Shelf VA Flakes?

My favorites would be SG FVF, GL Union Square, Astley's #44, GH CR Bright, and out of production, but still in my cellar McClelland 40th Anniversary and Blackwoods Flake.

What Did You Make For Dinner?

Sunday dinner was NY Strip Steaks on the grill with butternut squash from the garden. Tonight will be grilled Salmon, green beans and sliced tomatoes from the garden along with a some type of rice dish.

    Charatan Make

I have 3 or 4 Lane era Charatans, and they all smoke great. Now we all have our own opinion, and I prefer the smoking quality of my Charatans over my older Dunhills.

Cellaring my wet Sam Gawith FVF and mold concern

I've have both, bulk and tins of FVF stashed away for just over 10 years without an issue. None of the bulk was dried before jarring.

    G.L. Pease Blends

Stonehenge Flake, Union Square are in my current rotation. I just opened a tin of Regents Flake, and I need a few more bowls before I can decide if it's a keeper for me. I haven't smoked 965 or Night Cap in quite sometime, but you may want to try some of the blends offered by Drucquer & Sons.

    From Larrysson Pipes

I've got to agree with Pipestud and Harris regarding the pipes Paul creates. I have one that I purchased as an estate that hadn't been smoked, and it smokes like a dream. I hope to buy another, just maybe when he releases the 60 pipes mentioned earlier.

I mix Everclear with lemonade, which I drink over ice while cleaning my pipes with Isopropyl alcohol. Works great every time! :puffy:

Stonehenge is one of my new favorites, and St.James Flake is a long time friend. They both have a place in my cellar. :puffy:

    Jim's 45th Pipe Smoking Anniversary.

Happy anniversary and thanks for sharing Jim. By the way I also start smoking a pipe during the summer of 1974, but I don’t remember the time or date, but it was during the summer. My blends of choice back then were Borkum Riff Bourbon Whiskey, Sir Walter Raleigh, and occasionally Flying...

    Can I Disable My Account?

I understand your frustration, and have felt the same myself in the past. I chose to back off for a time and eventually returned. Over the years many have come and gone from this forum, but I believe that the core groups are good people that just happen to share a love for pipes & tobacco. Based...
