Oft repeated but true, don't go out to survey the damage until flooding has been assessed and an all clear given. Most people lost in hurricanes die in flooding, not in the high winds. The sun comes out and people think it's over and risk drowning. Stay off the roads and out of boats and let the assigned crews do their work.

Just got some semblance of cell service. Lost power just before dark last night. Very minor damage to a piece of siding. We were worried about our maple tree in the front yard because we could see the roots trying to pull free of the yard. It survived.
Hopefully y’all aren’t out of power for too long, but I suppose there’s no telling. Fingers crossed it’s sooner rather than later.
