Blockade Runner in a 40’s Yello Bole, I think this will benefit from a little while on the bench so I’ll come back to it in a month or so.
I had a bowl of Merde de Cheval before this in the Longchamp Bulldog, that’s one I’ll definitely be getting more of, I’m surprised I don’t see it mentioned more often. There’s nothing extreme about it one way or another but a great all day smoke imho.

Now onto some Original (Walnut) Flake in a 1908 Charles Maas Calabash. This tobacco is named after the oldest street in Philadelphia apparently, although it’s hard to imagine Philly with just one street. Anyone know the name of the second? Answers on a postcard please....
Oh, the tobacco... beautifully balanced, allowing all of the many tobaccos in there to have their say, the Kentucky raising it’s voice slightly above the rest perhaps. Slow burning and it makes you take your time, a very contemplative smoke. image.jpg
