When I lived in Albany, we laughed when people referred to everything north of Westchester as upstate. From Albany, upstate was beyond Schenectady.

Welcome from KC!! I thought Cooperstown was a lovely place for a visit. I was driving from Albany to the BBHoF and saw the Glimmerglass Opera House. I mean it was out in the sticks and here is this amazing Opera House.

I hear you, I think I'll call upstate NY North of the Mohawk, and West of the Hudson. The Adirondack State Park, I'll just call God's Country!
