Still like my coffee black but I don't mind a slightly sweeter smoke with it these days, especially a nice Oriental in the morning: SG Sam's Flake in this Scottie Piersel signature style pencil-shank dublin -

[There's a thread debating the merits of the correlation between thicker bowl walls/more material - be it briar, morta, meerschaum, what have you - and a cooler smoker; I've been thinking about this over a few bowls yesterday and while I can't conclusively say if it makes the smoke cooler, I can say this: the size, length, and shape of a pipe definitely affects the way a tobacco tastes.]
