I'm sure someone has tried it, so apparently it didn't work out. The juniper berry that is used to flavor gin may not translate well when burnt. It has a highly distinctive tang and may not work without the liquid and the ice.

If that’s the case I would love to hear about it. Juniper by itself could be kind of citrusy and maybe brighten up the right blend, especially with the other botanicals. How about a whole dry martini? Lots of interesting possibilities with botanicals there. Maybe I’ll write to GLP or C&D, though they probably monitor the forums.
