    Losing Track of your Pipes

Duane, is that a giant figural meer in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me? 🤣

    Losing Track of your Pipes

TAMPERS! Man. I've gotten better at keeping track of them, but I lost like one every couple of months for a couple of years. 🤣

    About French Estates

I had a Chacom 2016 Pipe of the Year, which was quite nice. Unfortunately I lost it. My Ropps have all been good pipes. Period. I'm sure they have some duds, but I've been lucky I guess. I think French pipes are on par with English, Italian, Danish etc. You can tell which ones are more high...

    Losing Track of your Pipes

Really? Aren't your pipes humungous? How do you fit a 4 oz meer in a pen slot? 🤣 That would work with my Peterson Belgique though, if and when it turns up. I usually carry my pipes in a jacket pocket, or pants when the weather is nice.

    Losing Track of your Pipes

Shit I'm always losing things, but they mostly turn up eventually. The only pipe I lost outright was a Chacom 2016 POY that I placed on the roof of my car as I was trying to round up the dogs to go home. Drove off down the highway and realized when I got home what I'd done. I make myself laugh...

Well ... I Ruined the Finish on this Grabow

Actually...I had the same problem with a cheap rusticated no-name a while back. Whoever applied the finish went a little overboard with the carnauba wax, or whatever it was. The first time I smoked the pipe it got all sticky around the rim from the heat. I decided to remove the finish with...

    Losing Track of your Pipes

What's the longest you've lost a pipe for, only to have it turn up later? I haven't seen my Peterson Belgique in a couple of weeks. I'm sure it will turn up. This is the pipe I always seem to misplace, because I usually use it for short smokes when I'm on the run somewhere. It'll turn up...

    BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY

Condolences. That's shocking news. So sorry to hear it. What a nightmare this pandemic has been. I had a nasty bout of Covid in August that lasted almost until October. It's no joke. Thanks for posting this @Searock Fan

    End of lunting season

It's a dry cold. Not so bad. We get a lot of sunshine all winter long in a normal year. Right now it's the windchill that sucks. Last night was about -32C (-25.6F) taking the windchill into account. It's eased off today. If you live in Louisiana I realize these numbers have no meaning for you...

    End of lunting season

Hey @originalnutcracker! I'm in the West End. Still lunting. Unfortunately, I took the dogs to Garbage Hill today and my Puggle lasted about two seconds. The dogs are getting on in years and I don't know how many more winter outings I'll be able to drag them on. The Arctic Vortex is a little...

Can you spray cologne inside the bowl ?

Don't listen to these yahoos. Spray cologne inside your pipe. I do it all the time. It's a nice compliment to Lakeland blends and especially old Virginias that have spent a decade or more sitting in a tin. BORING. Any Versace cologne works great, but that's just my preference. Whatever you...

    About French Estates

Why are you asking specifically about French estates? You should buy yourself a NEW Ropp and see what you think for yourself. They are highly affordable. Genod also has an array of shapes for all tastes. These are generally very good value. I don't buy Butz Choquin or Chacom pipes because they...

    SG 1792 Flake Thoughts?!

LOVE IT. Peppermint? I don't think so. Brush your teeth AFTER you smoke, not before.

***What Are You Smoking, December 2022?***

SG St. James Flake in my Punto Oro Gold 701 lovat earlier today. Since I'm exclusively an outdoor smoker I'm not too pleased that the Arctic Vortex has already descended on to the Prairies. I expect it to sit here until April. If it doesn't I'll be pleasantly surprised. Lovely smoke despite the...
