What Retired Blends Would you Bring Back?

Two that come immediately to mind are Revelation produced by Philip Morris and Walnut by Middleton. I also developed a liking for a mixture produced by Seattle Pipe Club, Yakima Valley, which was only available for a short time. If anyone knows where some might be available, please let me know.

    Blending help

I could use some advice from you blenders out there. I’m a non-aromatic guy and I’ve been combing some burley, Virginia, black cavendish, latakia and a touch of izmir. It’s pretty good but not perfect. It’s lacking a little body it needs a bottom. The best way to describe it is to compare it to...

    Yakima Valley

I've got a problem. Ordered a couple of tins of Yakima Valley (Seattle Pipe Club) and originally didn't care for it. Set aside for a month or two, went back and now I can't smoke enough of it. The problem is Seattle has quit producing it. So I was wondering if anyone else has smoked Yakima...

    Pipe Cleaner Won't Enter

At my son's wedding. It was about a zillion degrees and I rarely wear anything that requires a tie of any sort.

    Throw out Disgusting Tobacco?

I was always taught life is too short to drink cheap beer. So, yeah, I'd dump it and pass it off as a learning experience.

    Pipe Cleaner Won't Enter

Thanks everyone for your help. Removed the stinger, got it cleaned up and ready to give it a try.

    Pipe Cleaner Won't Enter

This is probably a pretty elementary issue, so I'll apologize in advance for taking up everyone's time. I'm working on an estate purchase, a Vottis pot Algerian briar, that holds promise. The problem is I can't slide a pipe cleaner through the bore into the stem no matter how hard I try and I...

Just Opened Pre 1987 Carter Hall

I smoked Carter Hall a;most exclusively for more than 40 years and it never let me down, regardless of Reynolds or Middleton. I don't recollect any appreciable difference but the change was awhile ago. As good an all-the-time smoke as any you'll find on the market.

    Brokenhearted

One of my favorite pipes, one I've had for almost 40 years, fell off my desk and the tenon broke off 9n the mortise. As you can see it's kind of an odd shape and might prov e difficult to match. I know it's a cheap, little La Strada Forte with a lot of fills but it was one of my first and always...

    Are We Alone?

In an infinite universe it's hard to believe that some form of life doesn't exist elsewhere. Don't know if some alien lifeform has landed here but I must admit I have seen videos of Little Richard.

    Wessex Pipe Rim

This is a Wessex bent brandy, I believe the style is correct. It is a Klein design, made in France, number 162 if you're scoring at home and it's a terrific pipe. Well drilled and the briar is very hard, the way I like it. The problem, if that's what it is, is that the rim is uneven and retains...
