Chasing that flavor is breaking me.

In addition to all the sound advice given above, I would add to not be afraid or pissed off about having to relight. Learning to accept they are going to happen has helped slow down tremendously. As a relative newbie myself it also allows to practice lighting a bowl properly while smoking cooler...

    A Match or a Lighter?

Zippo with pipe insert usually because it’s alway on me. I do prefer matches though and use them on the patio when I smoke (no smoking in the house). My matches are also great at hide and seek. One more thing, other than shielding, using two matches at a time really helps.

    Amboseli Townsman Billiard

I’ve been thinking that I would like to add a meer to my “collection” of cobs and a a few briars. Would you recommend it to someone who has never smoked a meer over Turkish?

That’s a pretty cool pipe. Congrats on a successful test run. It’s always nice when a plan comes together! We’re did you find the pipe?

    Need Info on This Pipe

It is stamped Holland. I can read Amphora and Holland, the rest of it is illegible to my eyes. Also, I am no expert but the shape seemed unique to me. I would call an acorn? Appalachian nailed it. I just wonder how old it is? I like old things. It’s fun to wonder of what the backstory is to...

    Need Info on This Pipe

Hello all. Picked this up today in a lot of pipes I bought for $15. There was also a Dr. Grabow Golden Duke, which is the reason I bought them. The pipe is stamped Amphora. I know it’s an Amphora pipe but nothing else. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Tobacco Rotations

Same question. Also, is it just to make sure you never run out?

    Tobacco Rotations

Good stuff! Like most of you I smoke what I’m in the mood for. Like several of you have stated that seems to come in waves. Last week for example was all Briar Fox. This week I haven’t touched it as I’m trying new blends. I would have guessed more people had a core rotation of go to blends. In...

    Tobacco Rotations

Until I started searching on the internet I had no clue there were so many blends. After finding this forum my head exploded realizing there were so many options. I thought the two B&M’s I frequent had everything……….

    Tobacco Rotations

I’ve read a lot regarding pipe rotations, but I’m curious about smoker’s tobacco rotations. How many tobaccos are in your rotation? How long into your pipe smoking journey did it take to settle on your core blends? I’m new to this hobby but have already found a couple of blends that will...

    Made In The USA

Just got a return call! They are open still, just limited on stock. I learned that any size bowl works on any size pipe. The other parts are not interchangeable. He also told me the Aladdin hasn’t been made in 50 years ish. Really nice guy.

    Made In The USA

Don’t know which came first. That will be fun reading later. As to if they’re out of business I’m not sure. They have a website that appears to operational? I haven’t tried to order anything as I’ve not even smoked this pipe yet (I will tonight). I did read that company had closed and reopened...

    Made In The USA

I had that thought regarding travel. Seems like an “easier” pipe to tag along with.
